Doug is a Senior Executive with SABMiller International Management. Currently Doug is the Vice President, Strategy in the Latin America Region for SABMiller leading the strategy development of the company’s largest and most profitable region, comprised of 7 countries and export business. Focus on portfolio development, commercial processes that enable more effective and efficient execution and developing tools to manage commercial investments for maximum effect. Prior to this Doug was Commercial Director for SABMiller Europe, which encompasses 10 operating companies for the period of 2013-2014. Doug was responsible for setting the Commercial priorities & strategy for the European markets. During the period from 2009 – 2013, Doug was the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer for Plzeňský Prazdroj, one of the top five businesses in the SABMiller Global stable of operations, contributing over 10 Million Hectoliters of volume and over $500m in Revenue. Plzeňský Prazdroj is home to the major International brand for SABMiller, Pilsner Urquell. Doug joined SABMiller in 1999 as Vice President Sales – Eastern Region for Miller Brewing Company in the United States. In August, 2001, Doug was named Vice-President of National Accounts and Category Management. And from 2002 -2006 was Senior Vice President and member of the Executive committee and Board of Directors at Miller Brewing Company. From 2006, Doug led the International expansion efforts of SABMiller Premium brands in 36 countries in Asia, South Americas, Caribbean, Canada and Mexico as Senior Vice President of International. Before joining SABMiller, Doug worked in the beer business for 18 years. In 1981, he joined Van Munching & Company, the US Sales & Marketing firm for Heineken beer, and advanced through a number of field sales and corporate marketing roles leading to his position as Vice-President of Sales in 1992. Doug holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from St. John’s University in Jamaica, New York, and a Master’s of Business Administration in Marketing from Hofstra University.
